Pilates for Advanced Students
Five weeks of classical repertoire for practitioners with a real foundation. Taught by Elaine Entenza.
Who this is for?
Advanced here isn't about how much choreography you know — it's about body awareness and an established foundation.
This course is for you if you've practiced Pilates for at least two years, have a strong core foundation, and are free of injuries or back issues.
If that's not you yet, start with our foundational courses and come back to this one. The advanced repertoire rewards patience.
Five Weeks of Classical Work
Week 1 — The Wake-Up Call
Precision combined with flow. (Small towel + socks)
Week 2 — The Breakdown
A detailed breakdown of the complex exercises — no props, no distractions, just your body and the movement.
Week 3 — The Vertical
Applying matwork principles to your standing posture. (Socks)
Week 4 — The Classical Mat Flow
Everything you've learned, moving as one continuous sequence.
Week 5 — The Reformer Flow
Exercises from the reformer, brought to the mat. (Socks)
A new class unlocks each week. Do each workout once a week for maintenance, or two to three times for real progress.
How the Course Works
When you purchase, you get immediate access to the opening video and your first class. A new class unlocks every seven days — five weeks total. Each class includes a short educational intro followed by a targeted workout that builds on the week before.
Watch each new exercise completely before you try it. Follow Elaine's verbal cues closely. If anything feels sharp or burning, scale back to an easier variation.
Practicing Safely
The advanced repertoire is complex, and without a teacher in the room the easiest way to lose your footing is to let your fundamentals slip. Three things keep you safe:
1.Cue yourself. Hold your fundamentals through every movement — especially the advanced and overhead work.
2.Watch first, then move. Watch each new exercise all the way through before you attempt it, to protect your neck and spine.
3.Listen to your body. If something strains, modify it. If that still doesn't work, set it aside until your foundation catches up to it.
This course is educational and isn't a substitute for medical care.
